DECA Club

Thirteen Blanchet students attended the Oregon DECA State Career Development Conference in Portland February 24-26. English and social studies teacher, Eileen Virden, is the advisor for Blanchet’s two year old DECA program.

Senior James Kelsh was a finalist and received a medal for his written entrepreneurship project.

Mara Hanawalt Wins American Legion Oratorical Competition

Blanchet’s head speech coach Mike Grainey and assistant coach Camas Kakuk are proud to announce that sophomore Mara Hanawalt is the winner of the statewide American Legion Oratorical Constitutional Speech Contest held on February 23.

Science Olympiad

Blanchet Hosts State Science Olympiad Competition

Blanchet hosted a State Science Olympiad competition for middle and high schools on Saturday, February 9. Students from Blanchet, Western Mennonite, Liberty High School, Corvallis High School, Century High School, St. Mary’s Academy and others met on the Blanchet campus for this event.
