Academics
Welcome to Blanchet Catholic School!
Blanchet has a rigorous college preparatory curriculum that prepares students for entry into a four-year university after graduation. However, Blanchet is not only a school for the academically gifted. We seek students who are committed to working hard and meeting their individual academic potential.
Blanchet offers small class sizes - an average of 18-20 students. Our teacher to student ratio is 17:1. The academic year includes two semesters. Parents can access homework online and check their student's academic progress via our website. Only the final grade for each semester is recorded and used to calculate the cumulative grade point average (GPA).
Blanchet believes that education is most successful when what is taught at school is reinforced at home and what is taught at home is reinforced at school. We view parents as equal partners in their child's educational development.
Blanchet students consistently perform well academically. Since 1998, 33 students have been recognized by the prestigious National Merit Scholarship organization.
Blanchet is accredited through the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), and the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC), and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), through Cognia.
