Sherrie Bashaw

Mrs. Bashaw attended Western Baptist College, Western Baptist University, and Corben University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and a Masters in Education from Western Oregon University.  Before Blanchet, she was a cake decorator at Roth's and Winco then owned her own business, "Elegant Creations Cakes".  She also taught PE at St. Vincent de Paul School in Salem.  At Blanchet, Mrs. Bashaw has taught 8th grade PE, 7th/8th and 10th-grade religion, and Seminar for Success.  She was also Blanchet's varsity volleyball coach for 23 years leading two teams to State Championships and was the prom advisor.  Currently, Mrs. Bashaw teaches 6/7 PE, Freshman Health I, PE and Leadership.  She is also the advisor for the Students for Change club.

Mrs. Bashaw is married to Dave and is mom to Blanchet alumni Kelsey Beyer - ‘06 (married to Carl Beyer ’06 and grandkids - Connor, Travis, and Hailey), Katie Hyde - '09 (married to Jake Hyde, grand dogs - Addie, Barrett), and Michael Bashaw - '18.
